Caregiver hiring process
Hiring Process - About 30 min per hire saved
- 7 min - Collect all required IDOA hiring documents
- Collect other required hiring documents from non-regulatory bodies
- 15 min - Conduct initial background check (registry checks, fingerprint check, receive eligibility notice from state)
- Collect pre-service training

- 8 min - Add all IDOA required hiring documents to TTP
Background Checks
Initial Background Checks
- Collect applicants’ Background check information
- 5 min - Conduct government registry checks - no APIs available (HHS, HFS, ISOR, IDOCSR, IDOCIS, IDOCWF, NSOPR)
- 2 min - Create IDPH profile
- 1 min - Issue fingerprint check via email to applicant
- 1 min - If necessary, re-issue fingerprint check every 10 days so that it’s not expired until applicant gets their fingerprint checked
- 2 min - Name and save background check materials into ATS system along the way (after IDPH profile creation, after livescan issuance, after eligibility result)
- State emails company when the individual is “eligible”
